  • Re: Returning to a project after a long break

Stan, So glad your own plan is progress. Getting re-started once you've let the daily writing habit pass is as difficult as getting back to the gym when you haven't exercised for a month. I let myself get distracted, quite willingly too, in the middle of my major writing project before the holidays...

[quote user="chameleon"] That reminds me that I have that book hiding somewheres and it is a good one, Heather! Think I'll try to locate it and try out that morning writing - it would do my heart good. I think it'd be great to look back and read things from time past--I often look at...

Merry Christmas to All, and to all a Good Day! Ho Ho Bo! (I'll really miss when I can't send my holiday signature.) Okay, done in 10 minutes, less 20 seconds. Woo! Pillow Crumpled, squashed - when I awake, my pillow shows signs of wearied battle. It has had a rough night. Shuffled about as I...

  • Re: Returning to a project after a long break

I've found that building a routine into my writing practice has had immeasurable positive results. Once upon a time, I either procrastinated and never wrote a word, or I'd sit down, write a little and then waste more time than I had to waste sharpening pencils, etc. So, I decided on a warm-up...
