  • Re: Last Letter Poetry Challenge

My curb appeal is getting low, Wozzie looks better than me, I know! What a delight to see her face, Exuding brightness in her space. Everyone around her blessed by grace. (Hi Wozzie! Gentle hugs from CC!)

  • Alphabetical Haiku Challenge

OK, all you poets: here is a challenge for you: Write a haiku on any subject. The haiku form we will be using (there are several, but this one will do for this challenge) consists of three lines. The first line has five syllables, the second has seven, and the third has 5. The special challenge this...

  • Re: POETRY CHALLENGE FOR JUNE

Dear Aunt Bobby – What a wonderful idea! I accept your challenge! Roses are so special to me and so are YOU! To start the challenge for June, while also bringing May to a close, I will post this favorite rose poem from my past. I still dream of its future potential in a project of the same name: “The...

  • Re: 10-minute Friday poems with a buddy

Stan the Man, Your poem is totally awesome. How can I play against you? That poem, probably not as complex nor with so many layers, would have taken me a day. If we are going to be buddies and play together like good girls, you'll have to accept "wearied pillow" - it's the best I can...

  • Re: Come and Write a FIB

It's 5:30am, Sunday, and I've been awake since 2. Who knows why? I sure don't. I've done everything I can think of, so I guess I'll write a FIB. Why not? They're quick and vaguely addicting. Help. Two O'clock Wide awake Can't get back to sleep. Writing poetry all night...

  • Re: Come and Write a FIB

The following is my task for today. Creativity and writing has it's own peculiar challenges. I couldn't decide if the word 'poem' was two-syllables or one, and I refused to look it up. Technically, it's probably two, but usually pronounced as one - at least in Wisconsin. So, 'one'...

Thanks for the photo offer, Mary. My camera was so crazy cold, I put it in the car, the lens fogged, I found another shot and got out of the car, the condensation on my lens turned to ICE! My camera needs its own winter coat. And as for Christmas... stores gifts no way not this year we're going cruising...
