This set of pages featured an original full-page b/w "romantic" sketch, but since the left side was mostly tree branches, I covered it with other romantic images in my stash.  I didn't want to cover the funky vintage illustration on the right, so I constructed my own tiny envelope, folded inside a tiny wedding invitation sort of thing (from a magazine) and just attached it on the left side with a ribbon, so that it could be lifted to see the whole original illustration.  I think this is called "laying in" or "setting in" when you only attach something on one side so that it functions independent of the page.

Hi Sooz,

Many of us grew up thinking that writing in or damging a book was a very bad thing to do. Considering all those books that are thrown out, I like to think altering a book is a way of saving it and giving it new life.  You've created a treasure with your book, Sooz, and I enjoyed all the tips you gave along with each page.
