The Prickly Pear Cactus is the only cactus that grows here in the Northeastern United States.  I am lucky enough to have one growing in a clay pot on my patio and I look forward to it's blooms every June.

I wanted to show you the full view of this incredible plant.  I think it has an incredible contrasting nature with it's harsh biting thorns on the Cactus to it's ever so delicate, almost translucent, flowers at the top.

 Hugs,   Julie

Almost like "Beauty and the Beast" with its' cheery yellow flowers on a skin of sharp thorns.  Love it, Julie.
