Flamingos roosting
midstream turn away from me
photo resistant.

It was not uncommon to see large groups of flamingos roosting in bushes growing in the middle of the stream. They were quite skiterish and were not the best of subjects, but they were certainly one of the more interesting subjects I saw while traveling in Florida.

Wonder if Alice in Wonderland’s flamingo was a relative? He was a rather portentous bird.

Hi Bo!

That's a beautiful photo, Bo. But, I don't think those are Flamingos. Flamingos have a shorter narrower bill that is partially black and hooks downward. I think these birds may be Roseate Spoonbills. Regardless of the name, they really are quite beautiful!
