I made this digital image out of elements in the Art Through the Year Studio Kit from January 2008. I got to learn a new technique or two in this piece, thanks to Artella. I used The Gimp and Irfanview, two free programs that I have been using for a number of years. In this piece I started with the background and then found a quote to go with it. I mulled over the quote for a while and then was inspired to place the images of the faces in a rough seqence from young to old on the leaves. I added the text and border to frame the work. I was attracted to these elements because of the warmth of the colours used.
