Wonderful!  This would make awesome background paper for some work I'm doing... what an inspiring idea to just start layering bits of torn scraps of like colored paper.  Amazing!

Just what I did for this collage. I torn up some old papers and glued them down together. I know an artist who uses this technique for most of his collages and then adds an object on top or some pen and ink and paint.

 This was done with real materials, but one could do something similar with digital materials.
