I am a catholic, stay-at-home mom of 4 (ranging in age from 26 down to 14), Nana to 2 (my oldest daughter is married with two little ones) and we homeschool the youngest two sons. We are owned by 3 hungry cats and one 9 year old gold fish. I love to do all kinds of art, but my favorite right now is textile art ~ specifically needle felting. I also enjoy writing, painting, collage, music and more! My art is as much a part of me as my arm or my heart ~ if I could not do my art, I think I would probably wither away and just become a shell. It is my quiet oasis in a hectic world. =) But I am sure most artists feel this way! I think art comes in a million different forms - art is what is in you that manifests itself through you to be brought into reality to be shared with others - it might be a painting or a scrapbook page or a needle felted doll or a meal. In my home, art encompasses all things - from how we decorate our home, to how we cook our meals and serve them. All of my children are musicians and artists. My dear, sweet husband works very hard to keep us well supplied in art supplies, needle felting supplies, instruments, guitar strings and piano tuners and flutes! =) We live in beautiful central Virginia and for the most part, we live a joyous life. At the moment we are packing up one house so that we can move to another - not sure yet where we will be (but it will be here in VA). We want an old house with history on a bit of land so we can have a large garden and raise some chickens for eggs! =) It is very, very good to be here! Ciao!
