Idea [I] ANNOUNCING THE WINNER of Blob Topic Contest #18 -- "Childhood"

The theme of Blog Topic Contest #18 was "Childhood".

The Artella Staff has chosen as the winner Dancing Cat's entry.  The URL of Dancing Cat's entry is:

    http://artellacafe.com/blogs/dancingcat/archive/2008/07/17/mommies.aspx#comments

Here are some comments about Dancing Cat's entry:

"Truly poignant and heartfelt writing about memories that could not have been easy to share"

"So painful and heartfelt, it left me glad I did not live in such a torment as hers."

"What an awe-inspiring post, Cheryl!  Congrats for a great job using a distinctive child voice as narrator and my thanks
for all the work you put into your blog.
It definitely had an emotional directness that got to the heart and soul
of the little child's thoughts and feelings."

"Your story very much touched my heart.  I fear that my
granddaughter may be living in a simular plight.  Her mother is quite changeable.  Blessing to you"

"Your mother's behavior must have been quite confusing to you. Memories like that are painful
but, they can be an opportunity for healing with Truth."

"It is so hard to live with a mom who is forever changing. My life wasn't quite that hard but I feel the pain you felt and still do.
Many hugs to you. Thank you for sharing and I hope you have a healing journey"

Congratulations, Dancing Cat.  And thanks to everyone who blogged on this subject!

Be sure and read (or re-read) and comment on all the entries -- you can find their URLs in the responses to this message.

    Hugs ~~ Aunt Bobby

    Hi Cheryl,

Just wanted you to know that your blog address comes up with Page Unknown -- perhaps it's missing something??  I bypassed this by simply clicking on your name (bspimas) on the left sidebar and then I clicked your blog to get there.  Wahoo!  Great blog post.

Hi Aunt Bobby and Artella staff members!  This is something I read a short time ago, and think it just might help with the choices you're up against:

    Ok... First, clap your hands,
    Do a pelvic thrust.
    Then spin around 360 degrees.
Jump up and click your heels.
Shake hands with the person to your right.
Now do some high steps while waving your hands above your head.
Now you need to spin to the right three times.
Now get on all fours and crawl around wildly as if you are a hippo under the influence, then get up, jump/click your heels again and start over...

You should be more than ready to make those decisions you have to.  Let me know how it works out for you....

Laughing all the way to Canada,

Well, I got as far as the pelvic thrust -- what IS that, anyway?

Remember the charismatic and controversial Elvis' pelvic thrust?  Uh, uh, that's it, Aunt Bobby!  What about his third Ed Sullivan appearance where they only showed his upper half because of that famous pelvic thrust?!
