Dear Hayworth,

    I LOVE the idea of letting the year guide us in so many ways, both in what we make and how we live.  I teach Irish language, and all week we are singing a lovely old song called Amhran na Bealtaine, "Song of May Day."  One of the most beautiful things about the song is the chorus:  Thugamar fein an samhradh linn, "We brought the summer in with us." 

    It's through our imaginations,  our love of beauty, our noticing the world and celebrating it, that we do bring in the seasons ourselves.  You're doing that with your art now, and I'm doing it with poems and songs, and others here are doing it with collages or digital books.  It is a form of magic!

 Hey, I wondered if anyone might be interested in following up on Hayworth's lead and actually posting some seasonal art/writing/creation?  It could be rooted in May or Spring for a start, and later we could add something for Summer or the other months.  What do you think?

I am so dazzled by May right now.  Poems keep spilling out over my full cup.  I'd love to see some merry May musings from any of you, friends!

Hi Hayworth & KateSinging!

I really like the "Art Through The Year" theme and art following the seasons. Although I have been dabbling in a lot of different artsy things, I have been photographing for about a year now. I like doing most of my photography outdoors so they often reflect the seasons. So, I offer you my favorite Spring photograph this year. Actually, I think it is now my all time favorite photo to date. Ladies, this one's for you.  Happy Spring!
