    Ever done a self-portrait ATC?

Artella issue 10 includes a deck of 35 ATCs that are self-portraits of each of the 35 contributors.  (We're still madly printing them!)  I'm fascinated by self-portraits and I think ATCs are the perfect way to explore this topic - something about the size is just perfect for a self-portrait.

I've uploaded the one that I created for the issue.  The photo is of me when I was a kid - I think about 4 years old.
Has anyone ever created a self-portrait ATC?  Or any kind of self-portrait that you'd like to upload?

    ~Marney

I've done several types of self portraits and I love them, too!  I did the one for issue 10 of course, but i also did another atc sized one.  I opened a photograph of myself in Photoshop.  I changed it to a line drawing then printed it out.  I then traced it onto the atc and colored it in with colored pencils.  It was for a swap so I don't have it and I failed to scan it before I mailed it.  It was sort of funky looking. Real fun!

     Yep -- I did a self-portrait ATC -- it's used as my AVATAR here!

Wasn't there a FREE TWIST about self-portrait ATCs some time back?

Yes, there was a self-portrait TWIST.  We're going to publish them in the next eArtella.  I'd love to expand the Self-Portrait ATC Gallery to include other submissions, so anyone who who wants to create one, please send it to us for the gallery!  (send to customer-service@artellaland.com)

    Thanks,

I think if I did a self-portrait I would make it abstract or use symbols. I'll put making one on my "to-do" list!

Heather,  I would love to do one with symbols.  I actually did a collage like that, but not an atc.  If you do one, I hope you'll share it with us!

I made one for Issue 10 as well but have made others in the past...here are a set of three I made for a "self portrait" swap...all very symbolic!

Nici I love your self-portraits! I'm a big fan of texture and it looks like these are textured. Are they? Did you scan or photograph these images?

I have done two... I think I still have one ATC left, I will have to scan it and use it as my avatar.

Okay...I have uploaded the silly one as my avatar... not sure where the other is right now.
