Hi everyone, thanks for playing with me during our monthly creative challenges. This month's challenge will be simple and can usually be done in under 20 minutes (depending on your medium). August is too hot (in my neck of the woods anyway but I know we have people from all over the world here, so if it's too cold where you are, you'll like this challenge too) so this will be an inside activity as well. My challenge to everyone is to create a card for someone. I have birthdays and my baby brother's wedding, but don't feel limited to just those types of cards. We all know someone who could use some cheering up, someone who's under the weather, or even a sympathy card. Just make one card, you can make more if you'd like, using whatever medium you prefer. I'd also like to further challenge people by not buying anything to make this card with, no new rubber stamps, no new paper, no new embellishments, nada! Please use what you have. We crafters are known to be hoarder and collectors of all things shiny, papery, frilly, well... everything! So since it's a relatively easy challenge, I added an extra challenging element of just using what you have. For those of you that really love a challenge, show us how you decorate the envelope. I have always decorated envelopes and everyone knows when they have something from me in the mailbox. Trust me, a brightly decorated envelope is the first one opened. So have fun making a card using what you have and don't forget to decorate the envelope too, remember a naked envelope is far too exposed!!!! Post pictures until the end of the month. Thanks again to everyone who will join in the fun. (some of my cards I've made are over at Vickie Enkoff's website since I just adore her stamps, she's the best!)
My general formula for my students is "Follow your bliss." Find where it is, and don't be afraid to follow it.
