    August Creative Challenge

Hi everyone, thanks for playing with me during our monthly creative challenges.  This month's challenge will be simple and can usually be done in under 20 minutes (depending on your medium).  August is too hot (in my neck of the woods anyway but I know we have people from all over the world here, so if it's too cold where you are, you'll like this challenge too) so this will be an inside activity as well.  My challenge to everyone is to create a card for someone.  I have birthdays and my baby brother's wedding, but don't feel limited to just those types of cards.  We all know someone who could use some cheering up, someone who's under the weather, or even a sympathy card.  Just make one card, you can make more if you'd like, using whatever medium you prefer.  I'd also like to further challenge people by not buying anything to make this card with, no new rubber stamps, no new paper, no new embellishments, nada!  Please use what you have.  We crafters are known to be hoarder and collectors of all things shiny, papery, frilly, well... everything!  So since it's a relatively easy challenge, I added an extra challenging element of just using what you have.  For those of you that really love a challenge, show us how you decorate the envelope.  I have always decorated envelopes and everyone knows when they have something from me in the mailbox.  Trust me, a brightly decorated envelope is the first one opened.  So have fun making a card using what you have and don't forget to decorate the envelope too, remember a naked envelope is far too exposed!!!!  Post pictures until the end of the month.  Thanks again to everyone who will join in the fun. (some of my cards I've made are over at Vickie Enkoff's website since I just adore her stamps, she's the best!)

Is anyone else joining in or is August just a crazy, busy month?

    Re: August Creative Challenge

Hello! I am fairly new to Artellaland and this is my first visit to Artellacafe. It is all very exciting, but I feel a bit overwhelmed!! I would love to participate in this challange. I actually teach card classes, so it's one of my favorite activities!! How do I share a picture? I am, unfortunately, really bad with computers!

Hi Holly - I've been an Artella member from the beginning and would like to participate in the new Cruise Ship and your creativity challenges

but don't know how to attach my pictures here on the forums.  I scan and save images of the cards, etc I create to Photoshop Elements or to

regular HP photo software programs..  How do I do that?

Thanks - this forum looks like fun!

    Re: August Creative Challenge

I save my pictures as jpegs, then upload them to a file sharing site ( photobucket ) then copy the  url it gives it , and then put it into  the picture  box prompt that you see when you post here .

    Does that help at all?

     Suzanne:

Apjo has the right idea!  If you have an Artella Cafe Gallery, you can upload your pictures to your gallery, and then you can post them from the Gallery into Forums.

If you have questions, let me know, and I will try to answer.

    OK?

    Re: August Creative Challenge

Okay everyone, August is over, can you believe it?  Please show us your artwork. I'll upload my cards next week. I'm waiting for company to arrive, so I don't have much time right now.  I can't wait to see what everyone did.
