Just a heads up that the deadline for the next Poetic Idol Competition is August 15.  

You can get all the details about this contest, here.  There are great prizes, including a top prize of $200 cash, and there are other cash prizes and Artella goodies, too.

We've been doing this contest for years, and the fact that we can give cash awards is something that means a lot to me, pesonally.  I just love reading the entrants to this contest (although I don't judge them, myself - we have a panel that judges the first round, and then the Artella Community judges the finalists).

It can be really liberating to submit your work to this kind of contest and share your work on a larger, competitive scale.  I hope you'll consider entering if you are feeling that little nudge...

I sent in my poems for the Poetic Idol Competition.  I was wondering if I was to receive an ackowledge/reply email stating that you received them. I sent them August 7th( today)   I didn't get a reply as of today. Aug 7th.

Just checking.  I wanted to make sure that everything got to you smoothly.
