    SECOND PLACE
    Cheryl Stevenson

    "Dolly Post"
"Tiny illustrations -- 1.25" x1" (with pasted-on titles) of dollies collected over the last few years, scanned into Corel PaintShop Pro and framed by a digital postal frame built from a digital scrap of 2 blank postage stamp frames. I have been collecting little tiny illustrations of all kinds for years, and this project is the inspiration now for making them all up into 'Postal' Sheets. Dimensions are 8" x 12" and the final composition is digital. I used a wax seal and postmark from the kit."

I used a photo program and paint program to create the postal service dead-letter black hole. I'm particularly proud of the looks of my Planet!

    Tammy Hensley
    "Motherland Messages"
Sunflowers, wheatfields, quilt blocks and Teddy Roosevelt form this digital creation to honor the artist's home state. The quilt blocks are all pieced with elements from the kit to create 4 North Dakota quilt block patterns; the Teddy envelope honors one of the artist's heroes and North Dakota as TR was inspired to create the National Park Service during his time there; finally, the sunflower and wheatfield stamps form the background for it all as they form a beautiful backdrop to many images there.

    Barbara Miller
    "Stamp Collecting"
"I decided to use elements of the Postal Passion Kit to help me meet the current Digital Rework challenge in the Artella Cafe, which was to alter the picture of a book. The altered picture reminds me of my mother, who was an avid stamp collector for most of her life."

Annette, Cheryl and Alexandra ---- three very distinct artworks that had me taking a second (and third...) look.  Way to go, artists!
