  Yawning and Yearning
    X-ray night vision
      Whiskers sharp bristles, tickling my nose
Venturing forth on adventures afar
  Under and Over
    Tucked in between
      SCATterbrained scaredy-CAT sharing sandpaper kisses
Retractable claws; sharp and severe
  Queen of the cat fight; victory a treat
    PussyCAT, PussyCAT, I love you
      Outside or in; that is the question
Nine lives to use wisely
  Mewing with hunger; massaging my heart
    Licking her wounds, landing on her feet
      Kittenkaboodle, kneading her paws
Joyful sideways leaps in midair
  Inspiring poets and playwrights with her innocent stare
    Hissing and singing off-key
      Golden-eyed, fathomless depths of cat-world mysteries
Furry feline, fretting and fussing
  Enchanting and elegant; amazingly unique
    Dignified, demanding, and devoted
      Connoisseur of Comfort with Catnap and Catnip,
Boundless and beautiful
Adored and affectionate, she makes our house a home.

Chameleon, I have some mad cat friends who would adore your cat one, may i copy it for them please? I don't know if they've got Atrella completely sussed yet, although i have been telling anyone who'll listen how GREAT it is! And love that quote, how purr-fect!

Ahhh .... of course, you have elevated "list-making" to "poetry".  How lovely.  I like "Elephants you can't hide" which I perceive as "speaking of the elephant in the room".  My journals most definitely contain the "zippers that unlock my mind".  Without a means to open it and sort out the contents, what would I do?  Thank you, PoeticJava.

 Gosh, just have to comment and say how many things here are my faves too, I am amazed how i can relate to so many ZYX's here! Might just add A for- Angels. I hadn't thought about putting favourites things to the alphabet, might have to do just that and throw out the challenge to anyone else who hasn't!

I'm afraid some of them will over lap, but I will do my best to be original, but, Violets and Rainbows, Fairies, Love, Hope and Kisses....hmmm will be hard  not to include! Did you ever love Sound Of Music's, These are a few of my Favourite Things? Or could that be a NEW thread.....porobably been done before....Aunt Bobby?
