Thanks Heather! These are scans of the ATCS; the textured parts are embossing powder!

Wow all these ATC's are great. I've never done a regular one much less a self portrait one. I do make a lot of tags and design them along the lines of ATC's. I'd love to get involved in an ATC or even a tag swap but have a hard time finding ones to do with people I can relate to or trust (I used to do crochet granny square swpas but they got too expensive because a lot of the folks in the group wouldn't honor their swap and it made for too much postage out not enough product back- hubby made me stop doing them).

Does anyone know where I can find a good ATC or tag swap?

    MarneyM:

Artella issue 10 includes a deck of 35 ATCs that are self-portraits of each of the 35 contributors.  (We're still madly printing them!)  I'm fascinated by self-portraits and I think ATCs are the perfect way to explore this topic - something about the size is just perfect for a self-portrait.

I've uploaded the one that I created for the issue.  The photo is of me when I was a kid - I think about 4 years old.
Has anyone ever created a self-portrait ATC?  Or any kind of self-portrait that you'd like to upload?

I've never done a self-portrait ATC, or any kind of self-portrait. However, I just finished reading Artella issue 10 - my first, in fact(!) - and I really loved all the ATCs in there. That, plus Marney's questions about Time in the ArtellaVision forum has given me some fabulous ideas on how I might do that. <br />

    Thanks, Marney!

Would love to do self portrait ATC's . It seems that we have all of these images of people we don't even know on the ATC's we make  Confused

Perhaps this would be a theme in one of the ATC swaps in the future.

    Great day to all

Re: Ever done a self-portrait ATC?

My avitar is the only self-portrait that I have ever done. I call it, "Zetti Me". My Mom was an oil paint artist, and I remember a painting that she worked and reworked of herself for a class. She recently admitted that she burned that painting, finally. She hated it! Her expression was that of frustration in the drawing. We were little kids at the time (sis and me), so I understand why she was feeling that way about herself...now that I have kids of my own! LOL.

I like that not all of the self-portraits shared are of people....just of things that are signifigant to the artist. My perspective of these has now changed, though I will always admire that Saturday Evening Post one with Norman Rockwell.....painting himself, painting himself.....
