    Re: Digital Altered Book Update

Oh my word!  All the new digital books look wonderful!  How are we suppose to choose?  I think I'm going to get the poetry book and try that one.  But maybe I should choose Treasure Island.  An idea just popped into my head for that one.   Paradise

    Re: Digital Altered Book Update

I've never done a digitally altered book, or any type of digital art before, but it sounds like fun!  And after viewing the entries for the last contest, which were absolutely amazing and inspiring, I think I might give it a try.  A September 20 deadline gives me (hopefully!) plenty of time to come up with something.

Marnie, I was wondering if you were still planning on rescheduling that digital altered book class? I had signed up for it, and would still love to take it.  Of course I understand how little free time you must have these days, with a baby!  I have a 2-year-old myself, and it's a wonder sometimes that I can get any kind of art done.

Hi LilyRose - yes, I do plan to rescedule the Digital Altered Book class!  Not sure on the date, yet, but if you signed up for the origina class you'll get notified as soon as I schedule it.  Thanks for being interested and I'm glad that you want to give it a whirl for the September contest!

I'll be sure to announce the class reschedule here, as well.

For anyone that missed the first class, you can download an audio/video of the class at:

The next class will be a sequel with more how-to info.

    Re: Digital Altered Book Update

I'm very happy to report that I have my cover and 4 pages done of a new digitally, altered book.  I'm doing the new poetry collection.  I'm still feeling pretty rotten from lowering the doses of my medication, but I'm getting almost down to the bottom.  Anyway, working on the digital pages keeps my mind off feeling sick to my stomach.  Egads!   Ick!

    Hi Bill and everyone,

Honestly, it never fails to amaze me that even when we as artists are feeling down or blue, struggling with stormy and uncertain times, enduring mental or physical upheavals, we still manage to use our artist determination to seize moments to create.

Bravo, Bill, for making that special effort to create art and share your news with us.

I finally was able to pick another title! With so many to choose from, I've been thinking about them all...But one did speak to me and I'm going for it! I can't wait to get started. Bill really inspired me to get it going.

Bill, I can't believe you have that much done already!  I haven't even started yet.  I haven't even picked a book yet!

Since I've never done digital art before I'm planning on keeping it real simple, especially considering how little free time I have and the myriad of other projects I have currently going, but knowing me I will end up doing something ridiculously complicated that will have me up until 1am to finish it.  At least that's how it usually goes.

I'm going to go check out the books right now so I can at least decide on one.

I hope you feel better soon, Bill.
