This forum serves as a venue for people to post things that they HAVE (i.e., stuff they are ready to pass on) as well as things they WANT.
Note that all arrangements for making trades and barters are done off-list. This is simply a place to post and browse through the posts, so that you can make connections outside of this list.
- Posting Instructions:
If you have something that you have to trade, or something that you are seeking, create a NEW THREAD by clicking "Write a New Post" at the top.
In the Subject line, write the word "HAVE" or "WANT", followed by a short description of the item.
For example:
HAVE: French textbooks
WANT: Polymer clay
Then, in the BODY of the email, you can add further details. These might include more info about the items you listed in the Subject, as well as the kinds of items you might be interested in receiving/giving in a bartering arrangement.
An example might be:
I have a lot of French textbooks, in varying condition but they would be great for collage. I'm open to any kind of bartering proposition but am especially interested in back issues of any kind of artsy magazines, as I'm new to the world of art. Also I'm interested in "hardware" like brads and fasteners, if you have extra to trade. But I'm open - let me know what you have...try me! Contact me via "Email Me" in my profile
IMPORTANT NOTE: Your post must include either your email address, OR make sure that in your Cafe profile, you have enabled your email address so that you can receive emails from other Cafe users.
2. Contact Instructions
As you browse through the posts, if you see someone with whom you'd like to initiate contact, you can contact them via the means that they request in their post. All arrangements for the trade must take place OFF-LIST. So, the two of you would decide if there is a good trade to be made, and if so, when and how, it would occur. Note that Artella cannot be held responsible for any problems that occur within bartering arrangements, and is merely providing a place where people can share their haves and wants.
3. After an Arrangement Has Been Made
Once an arrangement has been made, you need to go back in to your originally post and either delete it or edit it accordingly, so that it is completely up-to-date. Simply click the Edit or Delete buttons to do this. When prompted for the reason for editing or deleting your post, you simply can write "Bartering arrangement made", or something similar.
Happy Bartering!
