Thanks for the good words, aunt bobby and apjo.  I can see how your choice of words described how your move was affecting you, apjo.  One of my favorite quotes about change is:

    Anais Nin:

"There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."

I think the hardest part of change, doing something new in your life - whether creatively or otherwise - is actually making the decision.  Once the decision is made, it feels somewhat better.  Does this make sense?  Even making a wrong decision is better than making none at all.  As you might be able to tell, I absolutely hate making decisions!

I wanted to share my latest creation (challenge) that I posted under the Artella Digital Challenge (Digital Art Rework #5 project).  When I saw the Silhouette Woman, she looked somehow sad which led to the words of a poem (sorry, I don't know author) and the artwork as a whole.  Now I'm ready to tackle another Rework project - thanks for the opportunity, Artella!               - Chameleon

Yes, sometimes I use words or letters in my art.  It generally depends on what type of project I am doing.  I use words alot when I am working in my art journal (I use alot of quotes and the occasional loaded word).  I use words and letters every once in awhile in my collages.  And, so far, I have not used words or letters in any of my paintings (I am still trying to teach myself how to paint). Words do make it into my photgraphy, since I like to take pictures of signs (either as a place-marker for a series of pictures or just because the sign was funny or ironic).  I also take the occasional cemetery picture, and that usually involves text of some sort (like the picture below).

I use words a lot in my art.  Sometimes it's just the thing that my piece needs to make it complete.
