Wait a minute!  Is that a "Bill" joke?  Geeked

    Bill

    Pat W. Shafer:

Of course! There's always room for Aunt Bobby! We're over 10 already but that's okay. Everyone will get 10 zines back for their 10. I'll figure it out--if Bill can do it, so can I!

    Hugs,
    Pat

I wanted to let everyone know that the subject of my new zine is:  "Grunge Art."  I seem to love grunge pictures.  I wonder what that says about me?!  Anyone else want to share what they are doing?  Sometimes sharing keeps the excitement going.  Big Smile

Thanks, Bill, for hoppin' in here! 'Grunge' sounds  great!

Mine will be sumi-e paintings and (hopefully) lots of haiku poems.  With some of my own carved stamps on sumi-e themes.

I wonder what everyone else is doing?

I love the "grunge" idea, Bill! That was something that crossed my mind, so I am glad you are doing it.

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, thinking that mine will be any good, but it's titled, "Wordinary". I've got photos I've taken, drawings I've done (or am doing), a couple collages - each page is accompanied with my associated word and description for it.

Now, I'm going to be quiet for the rest of it...you know, the sly, mysterious cat that I pretend to be, ha ha!

My zine even has a title: THE ENCHANTED ZINE. That's if I don't change it in the meantime. I am including my own photos and digitally altered photos plus some of my reflective writings. And more. This is my very first zine and I'm enjoying the process. It will be colorful and delightful.

Is there still space?  I didn't count to see how many have signed up.  I'm interested.

Chris, you are so amazing!  You are always the first one done.  Smile  After seeing your zine in the first Artellaland zine swap, I know you put your whole heart in them, too!

Pat, I really want one of your zines back!  I love sumi-e paintings and haiku.  Woops!  It's probably wrong to ask.  Swapping the zines back out is hard, because you want everyone to be happy.  Although, everyone's zines were so wonderful last time that it's impossible not to be happy with whatever you get back.

Re: Artella Spring 'Zine Swap is happenin' for sure!

Bill, I am thrilled that you want my next zine! Your approval is confirmation, validation for me! Thank you. The zine is started, but barely. And I'm sooo excited about doing it. I remembered someone's haiku (from ten years ago) and must call her to ask if I may use it. Will she be surprised to hear from me! Of course, I should probably make an extra zine copy for her as thanks.

Chris, I signed in here 45 minutes ago, then got side-tracked when I clicked on your blog to view your zine pagess. Wow oh WOW! How exciting! And you'll be mailing all of them to ME first! What a bounty! (I know which one I want to keep, too!) Okay, I'll tell: it's your Cross Zine.    By the way, Chris, your zine that I showed to my Thursday class is so inspiring, I think now they want to do a six-week session on making a zine! Right now we're working with stamps made from styrofoam meat trays and they are enthusiastically getting inky fingers each week! Next, we'll carve stamps. But this week we are pausing to make valentines, with the styro printing plates, of course.

Chris, my mail address is: Pat Shafer, PO Box 28, Three Rivers, Michigan 49093.  But, I'd rather you'd hold off mailing until after March 1, if that's ok. I'm trying to organize/clear a space for zine mailing assembly.

    Hugs-all-around,
    Pat

Pat. Sounds great! Glad you are pleased with everything. I know I am. It's a great boost to our creativity to be doing these zines and swapping them and getting new ideas. I will hold them till March 1. Looking forward to April.
