Hi, Gang!  Good news from Pat.

 First, let me say it's only early May still, so I'm not bothered by the delay at all, as we did expect it. 

I just spoke with Pat by phone this aft.  She is getting help from others so she can send out our zine parcels to us by late next week.  Those nasty recurrent illnesses --which no one could have foreseen-- are still hangin' around and keeping her at a frustratingly low ebb.  (I had a lengthy flu myself this spring despite the shot and despite many healthy years; it's a new strain.) Of course the looming task of zine-wrangling has been no help, tho' it would have been fine fun were our Pat entirely well again. 

So a bit more patience, all:  the goodies are a-comin'!  They'll be worth their wait in gold to us ... sorry!

 If Mother's Day is something you do, have a great one.

I've read some of your posts and just have to give you congrats for getting them all together even when life and lots of other things kinda get in the way!  Good on you for getting them finished and ready to share between eager hands!  It's really a community project, isn't it?  Sorry to hear, Pat, that health has been slowing you down but you know everyone understands and it's such a grand thing that you're a part of.  Don't anyone forget what an undertaking this is with the number of zinesters participating.

 Good going, everyone!  Love to read your messages of encouragement and support.

Hey Zinesters! 

My friend Kathy will arrive at 9:30 tomorrow morning, and take me and all the zines to the post office. She helped me lay them out and pack 'em up tonight. They are all boxed, labeled, stacked up and READY TO GO. She is an angel for helping me tonight (I can hardly see what I'm doing, my eyes are worse and I go to the opthamologist Friday).

I want to thank all of you for your huge well of patience, waiting and waiting while I struggled with a string of health challenges. I'm sorry, the whole ordeal left me with no energy to push ahead with the zine project.

Anyway, I've divvied up the submissions (9 total) and you'll each get one of your own back along with the others. It's a wonderful assortment, an array of talents and spunk that illustrates what smart, zany, accomplished people we have here at Artellaland!  

They go out priority USPS so they'll be on your doorstep in a few days.

Good morning, Pat!  I hope our sunny, Michigan weather this week is helping you to feel better.  I wanted to say, please let us know how much extra we need to send you for postage.  I sure don't want you to get stuck paying the extra charges!  That would end up to be a lot for 9 people.  Thanks so much for being our hostess.

WOW WOW WOW! I just received the ZINES and they are AMA-ZINE!

Thank you all who participated. I will get nothing done the rest of this day. Good thing I did all my work this morning.

My wife and I were up in Coleman, Michigan for the weekend.  Our oldest daughter, Clarissa, and son-in-law, Brian, live there out in the country.  It's only a 2 hour drive north from where we live, but it's like a different world.  I wish we could move there.  Anyway, when we got home tonight, the box of zines from our swap was sitting waiting for me.  I've only had time to briefly skim through them, but I have to tell you, they are wonderful!  You people are so talented!  I'm so happy to have you for my Artellaland friends.       

I picked up my package of zines today at the P.O. today - what an awesome diversity and quality of zines! I love them all~great swap guys!!! I'd say this was worth the work and wait. Thank you guys so much!

YAY!  My parcel of treasures arrived late today...such diversity and care in each and all.   

Spent a blissed-out hour leafing through them, and will soon be gloating away over them again, you can be sure!
