Re: Creativity Challenge #10 - New Year's Day quote

I'm having trouble with this one so I may not submit anything. I have the need to hand sketch what I have in my mind, so I worked on it this week. My focus just isn't there, or here, or anywhere. Where'd it go?

If you get it finished before the deadline comes up, I hope you'll get it in the contest, Mary.  It doesn't have to be a digital work - all kinds of media have been represented.  And if you don't get it finished for the deadline, please post it anyways.  Love to see your work.  Yeah, focus is kind of blurry sometimes but I think that's just the workings of being a creative person.  Come next week, the focus is soooooooooooo much clearer and I have no idea why!

Aw, thanks chameleon. Only you and others here would understand that creative push and pull. Strangely, I ended up getting a second wind at 10:30 p.m. Sunday so I ran with it.

    Hugs,

    Mary

Re: CONGRATULATIONS to the winners for Contest #10!

The artists in Creativity Challenge #10 deserve credit for the energy, invention, and remarkable range of thought that was reflected in their creative works and titles as it related to the theme, "We will open the book.  Its pages are blank.  We are going to put words on them ourselves.  The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day."  ~Edith Lovejoy Pierce

Mary's ink drawing, Fresh Perspectives, caught my attention for being thoughtful, a personal reflection of time represented in a landscape with names like "River of Trust", "Bridge of Confidence", and "Walk of Faith".  Linda's watercolour painting named Possibilities with its' rich, deep colours and the soft, atmospheric artwork Blank by Carolyn both captured a moment in time that is timeless. Congratulations, artists!
