    Fun: Parody a Christmas Carol!

    You know the drill --

I figure that as Christmas drifts away (but the stains in the carpet remain), we can have a little fun by parodying Christmas carols.

Rule: We should be able to sing them to the tune that's stolen.

Re: Fun: Parody a Christmas Carol!

(I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day, with apologies to Henry Longfellow)

We got the bills from Christmas time
    I've scraped together every dime
To pay WalMart's online shopping Cart --
Please pass that Coors Light over here.

    I thought I'd just do lay-away
I thought I'll pay them on the day
I brought them home -- That's too much foam,
Please pass that Coors Light over here.

The X-Box add-ons that we charged
How could the cost have been so large? --
You like yours cold, with flavor bold,
Please pass that Coors Light over here.

I can't believe we charged the wine,
Ten cases? --  Dear, the bottle's fine,
They don't pasteurize, that's gotta be wise,
Please pass that Coors Light over here.

Hey, we'll be fine; we always are --
You wanna join me at the bar?
We'll try to sing (hic) some carol thing.
Please pass that Coors Light over here.

     (Away in a Manger)

    All wet in his diaper
    My poor baby lays.
    He doesn't get changed much
    Throughout holidays.
I'm cooking and shopping and tired to the bone --
I'm grouchy, and he'd rather be left alone.

    I love you, Sweet Baby,
    Despite how you smell.
    And though you are chafed,
You do love me as well.
We'll get through the New Year's,
    So you do the math:
When I get the time, dear, I'll give you a bath.

(Tune: O Little Town of Bethlehem)

O great big pile of Christmas stuff
All month you looked so great
But now you look all tired and sad
    (Hey, baby, I relate)
I must now get you packed up
    And put where you belong
    Before my neat-nik daughter comes
    And fusses loud and long.
