An Itsy-Bitsy Poem (and Puzzle) Challenge, Only Two Words Long!

Hey, do any of you listen to National Public Radio's puzzle time on Sundays?  One of my favorite word games popped up a while back.  I played this as a child and as a Girl Scout decades ago.  You make up a clue and the other players have to answer using two rhyming words.  Not rhyme with the clue, the two rhymes are the answer.  (clear as gravy, right?)  I love these things Smile  I make them up all the time and my family hates it when I'm on a run.  So why don't you play with me.  Are you up to the challenge?  (Please say yes.  I'm anxious to make anyone my guinea pig.)

Here's an example and I'll throw in the answer to be kind.Big Smile

    "A farmer's problem in a drought."  That's the clue.

Hey!  I see you squirming.  Don't look at the next line with the answer until you've tried a little harder!

Okay, no clue?  (even though I gave you one.)

The answer is.......crop flop.  And there are other answers to the same puzzle, too.  I've thought of several more...   Now remember the rules and write some of your own!!!  I'll write some more, too as I really can't help myself.

Come on now.  Please, please, please.  Play along!

Re: An Itsy-Bitsy Poem (and Puzzle) Challenge, Only Two Words Long!

We called 'em "Twinkie Dinkies", and asked them like this:

I have a Twink Dink that means "stepped-on chapeau". (Answer: flat hat -- one-syllable words)

I have  Twinkie Dinkie that means "cowardly guy" (Answer: yellow fellow - two-syllable words)

And so on -- I'd love to play.

Here's the one without an answer:

I have a Twink Dink that means "unhappy boy" (we'll start out easy, right?)

Urchin merchant - that is a great try!

I was thinking easier - a shore store.

Last one for today.  My brain is fried, along with that 'lion.'

Stinky-dinky: George Washington's troops crossing the Delaware, from an English point of view.

Anyone who gets this, they should get a prize!

No one knows about George and the Delaware?  Where is that prize-giver-outer when I need her?  A good prize would make everyone's brain cells burst with the answer to this one!!!

So what is Geo. doing crossin' the river when he's being following by a red coat?

    Freezin' treason!
