What a beautiful, loving tribute.  Very well done. You're doing such great work. Keep it up!  Maybe I'll get brave and try to do something digitally too!

Yay!  Holly may be getting brave enough to join me in my adventure.  I hope so!  I want to see what the rest you do with the digital books, too.  I've already downloaded the Shakespeare book, and may jump ahead and buy the castle book.  I'm thinking I could write a story for the castle book.  I love castles, especially the fairyland castle in Disney World.  (Hmm.  I don't think it's actually called a fairyland castle, but my brain isn't working right now, and I can't think of its real name.)

Now I need you to put on your thinking caps.  Does anyone have any ideas of what I could use for "digital glitter?"  I wonder if I could make a glitter brush in Photoshop.  I've never made a brush before, but I think Marney knows how.  I also have a paint program called "Painter."  That may already have one.  Ah.  The adventure continues.

    Page 5 - woman, mom

The picture of the woman and baby are my mother and I fifty-six years ago.  It's another picture I have that I took with me before my parents lost all of our family pictures in a flood.

    Glitter Brushes

"Ask and ye shall receive!"  After my last post, I did a search for Photoshop glitter brushes and immediately found a site that offers free brushes.  One set has glitter and sparkle brushes in it.  I downloaded the brushes, but haven't tried them yet.  In case anyone else wants to add them to their Photoshop brushes, click on the graphic.

That name sounds awful familiar.  Don't we have an Obsidian here in Artellaland?  If so, thank you very much, Obsidian, for sharing!

I assuming from the title of this forum that your piece is digital but it looks like a paper collage that you took a picture of.  I love it.  You did a great job.

Bill - you keep outdoing yourself.  This is gorgeous.  I may have to invest in one of these digital books.

    Hi Bill,

Your book is so inspiring.  Did you know that a hummingbird is a symbol "for accomplishing that which seems impossible.
Hummingbird will teach you how to find the miracle of joyful living from your own life circumstances."

I didn't know that!  That must explain why I feel so happy whenever I see a hummingbird.  They look like tiny sparkling jewels with their wings fluttering in the sunshine.  Thanks for sharing!

Re: The gaudy cover for my digital altered book.

I love your cover! I don't think its gaudy at all.

Link to Bill's first finished book

After posting all of my pictures, I didn't think about posting the link to my finished book until I looked at Aunt Bobby's.  (Life is difficult when only half of your brain is working!)  Here's the link to the animated, finished book:  http://www.artellaland.com/DigAltBook/Gallery/wjc_living/start.html  Be sure to look at Aunt Bobby's beautiful work, too!
