Hi Tracey,
Your goddesses are so flowing, organic, and so calm. I was reminded of the first goddess I learned about in Art History - the "Venus" of Willendorf, a limestone sculpture only 4 1/8" in height and dated 30,000-25,000 BC! It is one of the earliest known representations - isn't it wonderful that today we are still paying homage to the goddess. Although yours' look very different than the "Venus", they are both superb - keep creating them, Tracey!
A couple books that might further inspire you are: "Myths of the Female Divine Goddess" by David Leeming and Jake Page, Oxford University Press, 1996; the other one is "Goddesses for Every Season" by Nancy Blair, Element Books, 1995. It is a collection of 52 goddesses; one for every week. By the way, "Brigit" is included on Page 100 as the Celtic goddess of poetry, medicine, inspiration and metalcraft.
