Marney's
Musings

To See More...

Another Art-Splash!  This one from 11-12-02.

I remember finding these leaves in my yard, and then "squinting" to see what else I could see in the leaf, besides the leaf, itself.

Oh -- seeing these, I am realizing how much I am going to miss Fall this year, since leaving New York!  The New York autumns are so enchanting!

Love this, Marn.......

Actually had never thought about how much I would miss Autumn if I ever got my dream of moving to the islands, but you are so right.  I love Autumn.  The colors.  The sounds.  The textures.  Even the smell of it :)

Hi Marney!

Your art is beautiful. I am replying to your post about the money box. I don't know my way around here very well and couldn't find a link for "reply to poster" at my blog. To answer your questions about water color on wood:

That was just a raw wood box that you buy at ACMoore. I'm assuming it was pine. I used tube water colors on the raw wood. I kept the color kind of strong. The roses are collage. Just the backround color is water color. On the top is burned in a money blessing that says:

Money grows from money and money

And my money grows here

Spreading abundance throught my life.

Hope that helps answer your question. Sorry I had to post here but I loved seeing your blog!

Peace,

Carrie

Love your fall art, Marnie! :)

I used to live in Charlottesville, VA near the Blue Ridge and I LOVED the colors of Fall. I kinda miss it where I live now.

Thanks for sharing! :)
