Hark! Hark! The dogs do bark...

The beggars are coming to town, Some in rags and some in jags, And one in a velvet gown.

Waiting to Inhale...

 Rainbow Hoppers

In*spi*ra*tion

1 a breathing in, as of air,
into the lungs

2 any stimulus to creative thought or action

3 a divine influence upon human beings

Yes, it’s a wonderful thing isn’t it?  To live, laugh, love… but forget to breathe and what happens?  That’s right – it’s automatic, (supposed to be) one of our built-in systems of the body.  Yet, there is another kind of breathing.  There is something extraordinary that happens, and when it does I see the world in a whole new way -- a rainbow sort of way!  In this moment, I breathe deeply, inhaling all the glorious colors surrounding me, and I remember who I am.  I know I am loved and free to love in return.  Suddenly, it’s not just another day.  Today is another day to create art!  Thank you God!  Every other moment of my life I live in the state of expectation in between these moments of true inspiration, waiting to inhale...

Wow--I'm inspired by the expression of your feelings. Thank you for putting this down.

I love the three different definitions and the way you pull them together and make them meaningful. Thank you, Lori.

I love that inspiration is defined as "a divine influence on human beings". I think God will fill us up, if we let Him!

Hi Lori,

Well you won the staff comp - again! I love your take on inspiration. It's funny too, that I have just made a rainbow book for one of my children's workshops; I'll post it on my Blog.

lots of purrs, Black cat/Anne

Hi Lori!

This is "Oh, so very cool". Ever since I got behind the lense a year ago, insects have fascinated me. Some folks (including myself) come to think of me as Bug Girl. I absolutely love your rainbow grasshoppers.  This small piece even looks like it has some glitter in it. I'm going to your gallery now to see if you have it in a larger version that I can savor.  And, once again, you've found the perfect words to go along with this wonderful image.

Hugs,   Julie

Hi Lori!

I though this would be a good place to put a comment about your comment in my gallery, uh, about colors.  I think I already have orange, yellow, and blue covered.  I think that leaves indigo, maybe brown and white. Oh, yeah, I have black covered.  I haven't posted them yet because I haven't identified them yet.  But, you're right, that little beauty is now my favorite!

Hugs,  Julie  :))
