I found out that you couldn’t see the actual text samples in my last post unless you actually ALREADY have the fonts (well, duh). If you had the fonts already, you wouldn’t be reading my blog. So, with a little help from my friends, I gave it another try. Let me know if you can actually see the examples of each of the fonts that I listed. I used every font I named in this blog post. Leave me a comment
I thought I would share another font web site that I found because I think everybody needs options, options, options.
This one has tons and tons of fonts to choose from including some real fun fonts so I hope you like it. (This font is Zitcream)
http://simplythebest.net/fonts/
They also have some dingbats like these butterflies. I cannot believe I am using a font like Plasma Drip Empty to describe butterflies.
Rostehopilghmictnb
This Font is Called Vampire for horror fans
This font is called Fairytales if you want a little something more whimsical
this
is a 3d font and I
hope
you can read it
it
is pretty cool
This font is called Purple Tentacle PD
There are way too many fonts to show you. There must be hundreds, if not thousands, listed by category. This one is ChopinScript listed under Calligraphy. Beautiful, isn’t it?
Happy Font Hunting

I thought it might be nice to give you something slightly different this week. I think we can all agree that it's always nice to have options. I know there are times when we all would like to use a special letter/font instead of the run of the mill fonts that come along with your software and I usually wind up settling for whatever is available in my font file folder for lack of a better alternative. Fear not, help is on the way and you won't have to spend a fortune. OK, you won't have to spend a red cent.
Go to Urban Fonts at www.urbanfonts.com and you will find a pretty good selection of fonts for your perusal and downloading. The website Free Digital Scrapbooking (www.freedigitalscrapbooking.com
) also has a nice selection of fonts and digital alphabets if Urban Fonts isn't your thing. Have fun!

You know it’s going to be a good week when the Freebie Fairy comes along and offers you a whole lot of goodies. This Freebie Fairy is none other than Artella’s very own Gretchen (http://heartaday.wordpress.com/). Gretchen stopped by to say:
“Just thought I'd let you know I'm gearing up for some Valentine's freebies here in the next few days. Just posted some "art tags" made from scratch digitally. You can print them out and use them in cards or whatever.
J ”
So, don’t forget to stop in Gretchen’s HeArt a Day website and get your goodies at
http://heartaday.wordpress.com/. After all, who could possibly make better Valentines Day goodies than the Queen of HeArts at HeArt-A-Day?
Hugs, Julie
You can find a lot of freebies at Sweet Café Designs @
www.sweetcafe.org You will find free paper, elements, alphabets, layouts, and more. Take a look and see if there's something there that you would like to add to your artistic toolbox.

I finally got up the nerve to submit a photograph to JPG Magazine on one of their topics. Whenever I look at all of the photo submissions to each of the themes, I always think that mine just don't measure up. Well, I went and did it. I submitted the "Wing Span?" photo posted in my blog for the theme "Split Second".
I'm inviting you all to go to www.jpgmag.com and vote for my picture. You know every little bit helps!
Hugs, Julie
Normally, when talking about Hawks, we talk about wing span. I find the wing span of many Hawks to be very impressive. The wing span is measured from left wing tip to right wing tip. A Red Tailed Hawk's wing span is in the range of 43 to 57 inches. When I visualize Hawks, I see them flying high and soaring and gliding through the sky. This is a Red Tailed Hawk. What's wrong with this picture? We're certainly not talking about wing span here. But, look at that leg span. Not something you would intuitively think about or talk about regarding Hawks. I never thought I would see the day I would see a Hawk run! And, yes, he was running away from me. He was injured and I was intent on rescue. Who knew I was that scary! If he only knew that I was far more afraid of him than he should have been of me. I have a couple more pictures of him at rest in my gallery.
