Glitter Girl

Less is Sometimes More

I used a little too much glitter on my last projet.  I really got it all over the place. I don't mind getting it all over me or all over the house, but it spoiled the effects of the collage. The sparkles gave everything a speckled look. Not what I was looking for! You know what they say, sometimes, less is more.

Glitter Girl can never have too much glitter! I know what you mean though, too much can spoil the effect you're looking for. I found something called PearlEx powdered pigments that I love for that glittery effect. You can add it to anything and get a glittery sheen, metallic look, or pearly appearance, just by using a brush! I found it near the rubber stamping supplies. You can use it dry or add it to paints.

I'm still experimenting with the product, and it is much easier to handle than glitter (just don't sneeze). Coverage is excellent and less is more. With colors called Misty Lavender, Antique Silver, Flamingo Pink, Turquoise, Spring Green, Sparkling Copper, Pumpkin Orange, Salmon Pink, Reflex Violet, Sparkle Gold, Mink, Pink Gold, and many more, it is everything a Glitter Girl could want!

I was going to enter the Ornament challenge, using the product to decorate clear glass ornaments, but I didn't have a chance to do that one.
