Hi Cheryl!

I was very moved by this poem. Also surprised to see that each line was written by someone different because it is so fluid and seamless. I can understand why it makes you feel like it was your story because I feel like it could have been written for me, as well. This workshop must have been a wonderful experience. Thanks for sharing - I felt like you gave me a gift by doing so.

...I wish I were "from" Pauletta Hansel's workshop!! I agree that each line seems to speak about each one of us. It goes to show how there is community all around us, anytime that we take a moment to go deeper than the surface. I loved the image you gave us. Thank you.

This poem could be written by me, you, or any other woman. It's the voices of women joining hands and voices in unity and strength. My favorite lines are:

"if you want it, you will have it—

from the supportive net that seems to hold no matter what."

Thanks Lori! It was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had in a workshop. Pauletta Hansel led the group in a gentle and inspiring way. She's offering a poetry workshop at Grailville next month and I'm hoping to attend. I know nothing of poetry, but Artella is slowly drawing me in to it.

Hi Cheryl -- This is an amazing and powerful poem! I love the idea of the "Talking Stone". I use a similar technique in my workshops called Echo-ing. For some of us it can become so very important in life to simply be heard. To be able to feel that and see the result in such a beautiful way must bring such comfort and joy! thanks for your comments about Blossie, not sure if we're supposed to respond on a person's blog, or just on our own gallery?

Anyway, I enjoyed your writing, FULLY 100% agree with you and everyone about Artella, it's totally turned my unhappy little world around, and guided me to Lani's Artist's Happiness Challenge too, which I can HIGHLY recommend to everyone, so much sharing, caring and wonderful creative eniticements to brighten one's day and lighten your heart.

I lost my Mum back in 1999, 2 weeks before her beloved grandson's 2nd birthday....and then every other blood relative besides my Dad and son, (Thank God) til I ended up feeling VERY abandoned!

Hang in there, as you are noticing, God (what/whoever God may be) seems to eventually create a balance, in the most unlikely places sometimes, like the middle of Cyberspace in a Magical Land called Artella!

Cheryl, it lifted my heart to read your outpouring of gratitude about Artella. This is such a blessed place. It was truly a divine guidance that led me here to this place, and what a blessing it has been. The place, the participants, the leaders, the safety, the values, the absolute commitment to a humble and positive spin on life, and on taking proactive steps. The last I heard, you were looking for a job with Artella, am I right? And so YOU created a new reality??? Do you hear my hands clapping for you?
