Meant to Live

This song was hella popular when I went solo to Kanab to do my two week evaluation with Best Friends Animal Society. I heard it nearly every morning in my rental car as I left Amber's house and headed up to the sanctuary. I believed it was where I was supposed to be. That I was meant to live for so much more than I had been living at the time.

And here I am now, just over 4 years later, and this song still haunts me. Mainly the line of "have we lost ourselves?" because I wonder that about myself sometimes. I'm finding myself slowly and, undoubtedly, I was meant to live for so much more.

Hi Wozzie,

Questioning ourselves where we're at and where we're going are good things.  I don't think that necessarily means that we're on the wrong track - only that we have to pause for a bit and take a look around.  Try not to get discouraged because its' not going fast enough.

I truly agree with the above comments so "Ditto." We have to take things slowly and one day at a time and of course, we have to be patient as well.

Hi Wozzie!

Thanks for sharing these thought provoking words. They are a gentle reminder to look inside and think about where we've been, where we are,where we want to go, a re-evaluate whether we're on the right path. I hope Eugene, OR is still agreeing with you and you're still having a good time exploring your new home. I love that song!  And I totally relate.  That's where I am in my life right now, realizing that I was meant to live for so much more and determined, finally, to go after it.
