Autumn Crow intermediate steps
Here's a picture of the progress so far. I'll be taking out the fill stitches on the orange leaf (again) because they just want to blend in with the orange of the outline and stem. The colors are really different when they aren't against the green background, but the green is really equalizing them. Because there's a lot of gold in the green, it doesn't photograph well, but in real life it's a deeper, richer green with gold, so it's wanting to really change the other colors. Maybe I'll do a fill on the orange with some straight stitches with some of the green showing through...
